But there is the addon Drakensang Philessons Secret which is for Drakensang The River of Time. Some people say you should play The River of Time before the first Drakensang because its is a prequel.

I had the same issue with the first game, but adding the parameters needed for windows 10 fixed it (however, for some reason River of Time in my case seems to run fine out of the box, but I just tested it a couple of minutes, still playing the first part).
